Many cs2 players prefer to remove bloodstains from the map. This not only makes the game visually cleaner but also improves spotting opponents. It’s especially useful on darker maps (like Train), where blood can block quick reactions.
You can do this with a CS2 config or console commands. The main ones are:
r_cleardecals — clears all blood and bullet marks. Can be bound to a key for quick use.
bind "key" "r_cleardecals" — assigns the command to a convenient key (for example W, A, S, D).
Pro tip: Set up automatic blood clearing with every move or action. This keeps the map clean and maximizes visibility.
Blood removal isn’t a cheat or bug — it’s a legitimate way to stay focused and boost your gameplay.
