- What is the most expensive CS2 skin ever sold?
- Why are some CS2 skins so expensive?
- How much is the Karambit Case Hardened Blue Gem worth?

A rare AK-47 reportedly sold for over $1 million, while a Karambit owner turned down an even bigger offer.
CS2 skin may depend on many variables:
Check out the biggest sales, the offers owners refused and today’s prices for top weapon skins, knives and gloves.

The value around Case Hardened skins is centered around the float. Extensive blue coverage can push a particular pattern far beyond the price of an ordinary version.
On June 5, 2024, brokers Sam “roflm0nster” Alexander and Oliver “zipeL” Behrensdorff announced an AK-47 Case Hardened sale reportedly worth over $1 million (according to Dexerto). The buyer and exact price stayed private.
First publicly identified in January 2024, the skin combined three sought-after features:
“$1m offers were rejected multiple times,” roflm0nster wrote. The deal remains the best-supported reported price record for a single Counter-Strike skin.
The Factory New Karambit Case Hardened #387 attracted a reported €1.2 million Bitcoin offer in 2021, worth approximately $1.5 million then. Its owner was unmoved, reportedly replying, “1.2 is low.”
The attraction is visible while holding the knife: its blade face is almost entirely blue. A wear value, or float, of approximately 0.048 adds to its appeal. Later valuations approaching $2 million remain estimates; the 2021 figure records a rejected offer.

Major history, rare stickers, low floats, as well as a limited drop pool (from the Cobblestone gift set) have helped individual Dragon Lores reach exceptional prices on skin marketplaces. Three deals show how different those copies can be:
| Date | Skin and key details | Reported price |
|---|---|---|
| January 2018 | Factory New Souvenir with Skadoodle’s gold autograph, sold through OPSkins shortly after Cloud9’s Boston Major win | $61,052.63 according to Dot Esports |
| June 2023 | Factory New, non-Souvenir Dragon Lore with four iBUYPOWER Holo Katowice 2014 stickers and a 0.00003238 float; previously used by s1mple and m0NESY | $265,000 according to Dexerto |
| 2021 | Souvenir Dragon Lore bundled with a StatTrak Minimal Wear AK-47 Case Hardened #661, each carrying four Titan Holos | Approximately $775,000 combined, or 5 million yuan; unconfirmed |
The often-repeated $780,000 figure refers to the 2021 bundle, not a confirmed Dragon Lore sale. Neither skin’s individual price was established, and contemporary coverage treated the entire deal as unconfirmed.

Rare Katowice 2014 stickers helped push these two rifles well beyond their usual prices:
The Howl remains the only Contraband weapon skin. Valve replaced its artwork after a copyright complaint in June 2014 and ended production, stating, “These items will never be produced again.”
Public prices are constantly changing and the 2026 prices show a substantial market is way below the early days sales. For the next skins prices are for listings that are based on recent sales.
CSGOSKINS.GG displayed the following prices for precisely identified variants:
| Skin | Condition | Approximate price |
|---|---|---|
| Butterfly Knife Doppler Ruby | Factory New | $9,200 — Steam Marketplace |
| Butterfly Knife Doppler Sapphire | Factory New | $5,500 — Steam Marketplace |
| Butterfly Knife Doppler Black Pearl | StatTrak Factory New | $11,100 to $12,000 — Steam Marketplace |
| Karambit Crimson Web | StatTrak Factory New | $25,000 to $26,000 — Steam Marketplace |
Crimson Web’s minimum float of 0.06 leaves a narrow interval below the 0.07 Factory New cutoff, helping explain the scarcity of clean examples.
Factory New Sport Gloves Hedge Maze showed a reference price around $25,500, while Factory New Pandora’s Box stood near $20,700. Hedge Maze pairs green with white; Pandora’s Box uses black and purple.
Both finishes have a minimum float of 0.06. Their Factory New copies occupy the small interval below 0.07, and neither has a StatTrak version. For someone searching for an especially clean pair, the condition label is only the starting point.
A skin’s float measures wear; lower values generally indicate a cleaner finish. Two Factory New copies can share a condition label while differing greatly in exact wear.
On April 16, 2023, a StatTrak Minimal Wear #661 AK with four Titan Holo Katowice 2014 stickers reportedly accounted for $400,000 of a package exceeding $500,000.

Valve’s October 22, 2025, update added two new Covert trade-up options:
Possible outcomes depended on the input collections.
Prices shifted quickly. On October 23, Ars Technica reported that estimated total CS2 item value had fallen from just over $6 billion to below $4.3 billion overnight. Some Covert skins, meanwhile, jumped in price.
