PGL Astana 2026 is now at its make-or-break stage. Day 4 sent MOUZ, Falcons, and FURIA into the playoffs, while HEROIC, The Huns, and PARIVISION were knocked out. With three spots still open, the 2-2 matches will decide who stays alive. Keep reading for the full Day 4 recap.
MOUZ, Falcons and FURIA all finished the Swiss stage at 3-1, but none of them reached the playoffs without pressure. MOUZ had to close a tight 2-0 against Aurora, Falcons survived a near-collapse against The MongolZ, and FURIA needed a three-map answer after Gentle Mates forced a decider.
MOUZ edged out Aurora 2-0, but it was far from easy. Dust2 ended 13-11, and Nuke needed overtime before MOUZ closed it 19-15. Adrian “xelex” Vincze had a tough start around B with Lotan “Spinx” Giladi, but he adjusted on the T side and helped MOUZ avoid a third map.
| Player | K/D | ADR | KAST | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dorian “xertioN” Berman | 47-35 | 97.2 | 81.0% | 1.38 |
| Adrian “xelex” Vincze | 41-46 | 72.5 | 62.1% | 0.98 |
xertioN was the main reason MOUZ stayed in control. His CT-side form has been a huge part of their Astana run, with a 1.64 CT rating across 11 maps and a 1.34 overall rating in the group stage. xelex did not put up flashy numbers, but for a debut filled with new spots and pressure, he did enough.
Falcons beat The MongolZ 2-1 in one of Day 4’s wildest series. It started well, got shaky, then turned into a clutch-heavy comeback on Mirage.
The comeback was driven by Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov and Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin, who combined for 38 kills in the final 14 rounds of the decider. kyousuke finished as Falcons’ top performer with a 63-48 K/D, 100.0 ADR, 74.0% KAST, and a 1.45 rating. m0NESY was right behind him at 66-42, 84.9 ADR, 74.0% KAST, and 1.36.
When Falcons looked close to dropping into the 2-2 pool, their young stars found the needed multi-kills and kept the team alive.
FURIA reached the playoffs with a 2-1 win over Gentle Mates, moving to a 3-1 Swiss record. The series was not clean, but FURIA handled the key moments better, especially on Inferno.
The decider came down to sharp defensive rounds and two huge 1v3 clutches from Danil “molodoy” Golubenko and Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo. molodoy was the best player on the server, finishing with a 62-37 K/D, 94.9 ADR, 74.2% KAST, and a 1.44 rating.
Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato added a 47-45 K/D and 1.14 rating, while Antonio “MartinezSa” Martinez led Gentle Mates with 50-39 and 1.19.
The elimination side of Day 4 hit hard. HEROIC, The Huns, and PARIVISION all lost their 1-2 matches and left the Swiss stage with 1-3 records. Each series had a different feel, but the result was the same: no room for another mistake.
| Map | Score |
|---|---|
| Mirage | magic 13-8 |
| Dust2 | HEROIC 13-4 |
| Inferno | magic 13-6 |
HEROIC’s exit was the biggest shock. They started the event by beating Aurora, but later losses to FURIA, Gentle Mates, and magic ended their run. Vitaliy “sFade8” Marushka led magic with a 43-35 K/D, 77.4 ADR, and 1.32 rating, while Abdurakhim “mo0N” Issa added 49 kills.
| Map | Score |
|---|---|
| Nuke | Monte 13-2 |
| Dust2 | The Huns 13-10 |
| Mirage | Monte 16-12 |
Monte stayed alive after a tense overtime win on Mirage. The Huns fought back well on Dust2, but Monte had the cleaner finish when it mattered.
PARIVISION also pushed the series to a decider, but G2 survived overtime on Ancient and kept their playoff hopes alive.
The final Swiss round leaves three best-of-three matches for the last playoff spots. Every winner moves on, and every loser is out of PGL Astana 2026.
The MongolZ vs Aurora looks especially tense. The MongolZ nearly took down Falcons after pushing Mirage to overtime, while Aurora came close to forcing real trouble against MOUZ. Gentle Mates need to recover after losing control on Inferno against FURIA. G2 also have no safety net after surviving PARIVISION.
