Gentle Mates — a CS2 esports team

Gentle Mates is a French organization founded on April 13, 2023. The organization was created by former professional Call of Duty players Corentin Houssein “Gotaga” and Kevin Georges “Brawks”, along with video creator Lucas Adrien Hauchard, also known as Squeezie.
The club entered Counter-Strike on August 25, 2025, when it signed the Spanish Iberian Soul roster. In its very first season, the team managed to knock out Vitality at ESL Pro League Season 22, win IstanbuLAN 2026, and settle into the world top tier.

History of Gentle Mates lineups

Gentle Mates started its story by signing the Iberian Soul roster, which was unsigned at the time. That first five-man lineup is the one that stands out most in the team’s history.

Achievements of the first lineup

The first Gentle Mates lineup featured Alejandro Masanet “alex”, Alejandro Cano “mopoz”, Pere Solsona “sausol”, David Granado “dav1g”, and Antonio Martinez “MartinezSa”. This five-man unit took the organization to ESL Pro League Season 22, beat Vitality, won its first LAN trophy at IstanbuLAN 2026, and reached the final of Roman Imperium Cup V. For a team that only entered the discipline at the end of August 2025, that kind of jump looks very solid.
