Animated avatars in CS2 can be distracting during matches. You can easily disable them through the settings or by using console commands.
Open Settings.
Go to Game → Communication.
Find the option “Allow animated avatars.”
Select “No.”
After that, all avatars will become static.
Enable the developer console in the settings.
Open it with the ~ key.
Enter the command:
cl_allow_animated_avatars 0
To turn animated avatars back on, use:
cl_allow_animated_avatars 1
Some CS2 players note that disabling animated avatars may slightly increase FPS, but there is no official confirmation.
