Wildcard Gaming is an American esports organization based in Houston, Texas, founded in April 2017. It entered Counter-Strike on April 24, 2023, when it signed the DETONATE roster. Over the next few years, the club made it to two Majors: Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 and BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. In 2026, Wildcard rebuilt its roster and won FRAG 20 and BC.Game Masters Championship Season 2.

Wildcard roster history
Wildcard's CS2 division has gone through many changes in its short history. The most notable lineups were its first American roster in 2023 and the squad that took the club to two Majors in 2024-2025.
First roster achievements
Wildcard's first lineup was Matthew "Cryptic" Whitmore, Adam "freshie" Paterson, Jack "micro" Ryan, Brett "brett" Rhein, and Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan. Matthew "d4rty" Paplawskas soon replaced micro.
This core won Thunderpick World Championship 2023 North America Series 1 and ESEA Pre-Season Circuit Summer 2023 North America. The Thunderpick win earned the team $20,000 and showed that the new tag could immediately compete with the stronger teams in the region.
2024-2025 roster
Wildcard's best-known five came together in summer 2024: Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, Josh "JBa" Barutt, Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek, Tim "susp" Ångström, and Love "phzy" Smidebrant. Vincent "vinS" Jozefiak was the coach.
That lineup made it to the Shanghai Major, then kept its core for BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. In Austin, Wildcard started the first stage 2-0, but lost its next three series and went out at 2-3. Changes followed after the event, and by the end of 2025 the lineup had effectively broken up.
