Josh “JBa” Barutt is a professional esports player from the United States, competing in Counter-Strike 2. He has been active on the competitive scene for over four years, during which he participated in more than 100 tournaments, played over 250 matches, and earned over $15,000 in prize money.

Josh’s career began in April 2021 when he joined Villainous Academy and secured his first career prize money by finishing 7th–8th at ESEA Season 36: Main Division – North America. After that, he entered a period of inactivity. Between September 2021 and March 2022, he played for several teams, including Levitate Esports, Redditors, Team Redux, and Touch Point Gaming. However, he failed to achieve significant results with any of them.

Following that difficult period, Barutt joined X13 in April 2022 and found success again by earning a bronze medal at EGL Premier: Spring Cup 2022. He remained with the team until July before moving to STREET SHARKS, but didn’t secure any notable achievements there either. Despite this, Josh consistently showed solid performances at every event, which eventually caught the attention of Limitless. He signed with them in August 2022. While the start was rocky, by the end of the year Barutt had become an important part of the roster. He helped the team claim a runner-up finish at ESEA Season 43: Advanced Division – North America, a bronze at FACEIT Pro League – North America: February 2023 Week 1, gold at FACEIT Pro League – North America: May 2023 Week 4, and a 7th–8th place at ESEA Cash Cup Circuit 2023: North American Finals.

In July 2023, Barutt left the team and joined Forsaken. There, he earned a silver medal at the ESEA Pre-Season Circuit 2023: North American Final, won gold at ESEA Season 46: Advanced Division – North America, and placed 5th–8th at BLAST Premier: Fall American Showdown 2023.

In November 2023, Josh “JBa” Barutt was signed by Wildcard — a move that turned out to be highly successful. With Wildcard, he won several titles, including NA Revival Series #1, CCT Season 2 North American Series #2, and Frost and Fire Europe. He also finished second at ESL Challenger League Season 47: North America. In addition, the team secured prize placements at several major tournaments, finishing 21st–28th at ESL Pro League Season 20, 3rd–4th at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2024, 15th–16th at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, 17th–20th at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025, 12th–14th at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, 5th–6th at BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 and CCT Season 2 Global Finals, 25th–27th at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, and 13th–16th at FISSURE Playground #1.

Currently, Josh “JBa” Barutt continues to play for Wildcard and remains a stable member of the main roster.
