The First Results of the European RMR A Announced

Following the second day of qualifying matches for major slots, the teams that secured their places without a single defeat have been determined. Vitality and MOUZ emerged victorious, defeating FaZe and NaVi, respectively.

The first match for a slot was between NaVi and MOUZ. MOUZ chose Mirage as the opening map but failed to make an impact, losing 4-13 and managing to secure only four rounds on offense. With such a strong start, it seemed that NaVi had a firm grip on the match. However, MOUZ rallied and claimed victory on their opponent's map, Dust2, with a score of 13-8. On the decider map, Inferno, MOUZ gave NaVi no opportunities, finishing the match 13-7.

In the match between Vitality and FaZe, the team led by Finn "karrigan" Andersen showed a lackluster performance, losing their map choice, Mirage, 5-13. On the second map, Dust2, a fierce battle ensued, ending 13-11 in favor of the French team. In the decisive moment, Shahar "flameZ" Shushan secured the win in a 1v2 post-plant situation during the final round. As a result, Vitality secured their slot, while FaZe will have to continue their battle for a spot at the major.

The First Teams to Be Eliminated from the European Qualifiers

The first team to be eliminated after losing all three matches was the Polish squad, Rebels. In their last match against Nemiga, the Poles showed a commendable effort. Despite losing their own map pick, they triumphed on their opponent's map after a hard-fought battle that extended through four series of overtime rounds, leading to a decisive map. The third map, Ancient, also featured overtime, but Nemiga needed only two series to clinch victory. The standout player of the match was Ivan "zweih" Gogin from Nemiga, who finished with a K-D of +27 and a rating of 1.25.

The second team to exit RMR was UNiTy, who faced off against GamerLegion in their final BO3 match. UNiTy started strong, winning the first map, Anubis, their own choice. However, GamerLegion dominated the next two maps, resulting in UNiTy's elimination. The best player of the match was Russian player Timur "FL4MUS" Marev, who earned a rating of 1.21.
