The group stage is over, and the playoff teams are locked in. NAVI and Vitality went straight to the semifinals, while Falcons and The MongolZ won their decider matches to stay alive in Rotterdam. Check the key results, top fraggers, and full bracket to see who has the best path to the trophy.
Natus Vincere handled Aurora with confidence and earned a direct place in the semifinals, winning the series 2-0 without letting the match slip away. They took Anubis 13-8, then stayed calm on Nuke to close it 13-10 after Aurora briefly looked ready to push the series further. Once NAVI got control back, they did not give Aurora much space to breathe.
NAVI now move one step closer to the trophy, while Aurora head to the quarterfinals.
Vitality joined NAVI in the semifinals after a 2-0 win over PARIVISION, taking Mirage 13-9 and Inferno 16-12. Mirage started with Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut setting the tone, but PARIVISION kept the map alive and even edged ahead late before William “mezii” Merriman stole a low-HP 1v2 to shut the door. That clutch mattered because it kept the series from slipping into the kind of grind PARIVISION wanted.
Inferno was the better map and the one people will remember. Vitality recovered from another slow opening, built an 8-6 lead, then saw the game turn into a chain of clutches and momentum swings. Robin “ropz” Kool’s 1v2 looked like the winner, only for PARIVISION to drag the map into overtime. Then came the moment of the stage, ZywOo’s stunning 1v5 in overtime, the kind of round that can silence an arena before the replay even starts. PARIVISION never recovered.
ZywOo finished as the best player in the server with a 45-26 K-D, 82.5 ADR, and a 1.41 rating. Shahar “flameZ” Shushan added a 36-30 line with a 1.35 rating, while ropz posted 38-31 and a 1.17. For PARIVISION, Dzhami “Jame” Ali led the way at 39-32 with a 1.10 rating, but it was not enough to stop Vitality from taking the Group B top seed.
Falcons and The MongolZ claimed the last two playoff spots, but they got there in very different ways. Falcons had to survive a long, close series against FURIA and came through 2-1 after strong finishes on Mirage and Nuke. Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov led the way with 65 kills and a 1.36 rating, while Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato kept FURIA in the fight almost the whole time.
The MongolZ took the bigger headline. They beat Spirit 2-0 and earned one of the biggest wins of the stage. Nuke was close, but Overpass told the story best. Spirit were up 7-1 and looked in full control, then The MongolZ fought back round by round and took the map 13-9. Ayush “mzinho” Batbold was the key player in that upset, putting up huge numbers and helping his team hold their nerve when the pressure was highest.
Both teams are now in the playoffs, but The MongolZ arrive with the bigger wave of momentum.
The bracket is locked, and the six remaining teams now move from BLAST’s Copenhagen studio to the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam.
NAVI and Vitality earned the place in semifinals by topping their groups, but the quarterfinal pairings carry plenty of heat on their own. Falcons get a rematch with PARIVISION, while The MongolZ arrive as the team nobody will want to meet after knocking out Spirit.
