How Friendly Fire and Auto-Kick for Teamkills Work in CS2

In CS2, damage to teammates (Friendly Fire) is enabled in most game modes. Shots, grenades, or C4 explosions can harm your teammates, making gameplay more tactical and requiring precision.

The system tracks teammate kills. For a single accidental teamkill, a cs2 player usually receives a warning; repeated offenses result in an auto-kick from the server. Frequent violations can lead to matchmaking bans.

Damage to teammates is reduced (for example, from cs2 grenades). The number of allowed teamkills depends on the mode, but 2–3 kills are usually enough to trigger a kick. Rules may vary in “Casual” and “Wingman” modes.

Friendly Fire is part of CS2’s balance. It teaches careful play and teamwork, while the punishment system protects against intentional griefing.
