Crossfire is a tactical concept in Counter-Strike 2 where two or more CS2 players position themselves to control key areas with overlapping lines of fire. This method strengthens defense and maximizes the chances of winning duels.
Two angles — one target. When the opponent enters the area, they immediately face fire from multiple directions.
Element of surprise. Even if an enemy eliminates the first defender, the second has a positional advantage.
Risk reduction. One player can bait attention while the other finishes the kill.
Crossfire setups are most often used:
when defending bombsites;
in narrow chokepoints (tunnels, hallways, doorways);
when holding positions in a numbers disadvantage.
Increases defensive efficiency.
Forces opponents to use CS2 grenades to break the setup.
Forms the foundation of many team tactics in CS2.
