Finding yourself alone or outnumbered on a site is a true test of reaction, composure, and forward thinking. In CS2, such moments often decide the round.
The key is not to panic. Instead of trying to heroically take down the entire enemy team, focus on slowing their push. Use smokes and flashes to cut off lines of sight and delay their advance. Even an extra five seconds can give your teammates enough time to rotate and help.
Change positions after every engagement. If the enemy knows where you are, that’s your disadvantage. Play unpredictably: peek from the opposite side, reposition behind cover, or use decoy grenades to confuse them.
Remember — when you’re outnumbered, your main goal isn’t necessarily to kill everyone, but to make the enemy’s job as hard as possible and buy time. Sometimes survival is worth more than a frag.
