Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt is considered one of the most experienced players in Counter-Strike. His career began back in 2009 when he started playing the Source version. After three years, Nathan decided to explore a new direction for himself — 1.6. He first played this version of CS as part of VeryGames, where he was quite successful and managed to win several awards. Because of this, the team even received sponsorship support, but unfortunately, after some time, the player had disagreements with the management. For this reason, he parted ways with the organization, but by September 2013, he had assembled his own team, which was named Mercenary.

Soon after its formation, the five-player roster was signed by Team LDLC.com. Under their banner, the team won the gold medal at DreamHack Winter 2014. After that, Schmitt began collaborating with the Envy team, where he managed to win the championship titles at DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015, Global eSports Cup - Season 1, and World Electronic Sports Games 2016.

In early 2017, Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt was invited to G2 Esports, where he secured the gold at ESL Pro League Season 5 and Esports Championship Series Season 7. Afterward, the eSportsman played for Vitality, where he took the gold at DreamHack Open Atlanta 2018, as well as 1st-2nd place at ESEA Season 31: Premier Division - Europe. In early September 2019, the player decided to take a break and went inactive, but by December, he was back on the professional Counter-Strike scene, joining the OG team.

He played for the new team for a little over a year, winning several awards during that time. Among his most significant achievements were the championship title at the SteelSeries Invitational, and silver medals at Intel Extreme Masters XV - New York Online: Europe. Afterward, Nathan moved to Double Poney, but didn’t achieve any notable success there.

In February 2022, the eSportsman joined MOUZ, where he had two disappointing tournaments. For this reason, Schmitt once again decided to take a break, which lasted until July 2022. In that month, he resumed his career by joining Falcons. At his new place, he won silver at ESL Championnat National: Autumn 2022, Thunderpick Bitcoin Series #2, OMEN WGR Challenge 2023, and also achieved 1st-4th place at ESL Challenger League Season 43 Relegation: Europe.

In June 2024, Nathan changed teams and joined Revenant Esports. With the team, he won silver at European Pro League Season 18: Division 2, secured the championship titles at United21 Season 17 and United21 Season 18, and finished 1st-4th in the CCT Season 2 European Series #10 Play-In.

Since February 2025, the eSportsman has been playing for Mercenaires. In this team, Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt participated in only 2 qualifiers, placing 5th-8th at PGL Bucharest 2025: European Open Qualifier #2, and winning silver at PGL Astana 2025: European Open Qualifier #1.
