Philip “aizy” Aistrup is a Danish esports player and one of the most experienced representatives of the Counter-Strike scene. He spent nearly a decade competing professionally, playing over 900 matches in various tournaments — including major ones — and consistently earning top finishes. Throughout his career, he amassed more than $330,000 in prize money.His competitive journey began in November 2012 with Sophisticated, but he didn’t achieve notable results with them. The same was true for his stints with Evokate Gaming and ZET eSports from March to October 2013.aizy’s first real breakthrough came with Xapso between November and December 2013, when the team placed 13th-16th at DreamHack Winter 2013. After a few more team changes, he signed with 3DMAX in February 2014. With them, he placed 9th-12th at ESL Major Series One Katowice 2014, 3rd-4th at FACEIT Cup March 2014, and secured silver at GDK Season 8. However, he couldn’t secure a long-term spot and moved to Dignitas in May.With Dignitas, aizy added more achievements to his resume, winning Team Dignitas CS:GO SCAN Invitational, taking silver at FACEIT League Spring 2014 and Hitbox Arena Championship 3, and placing 3rd-4th at Gfinity G3 and ESL One: Cologne 2014. He later joined Copenhagen Wolves, winning GDK Tournament I and Gaming.dk CS:GO Tournament, before returning to Dignitas. In his second stint, he won GameAgents League, 99Damage Masters #2, and Hitbox Arena Showdown Invitational #3, and placed second at RGN Pro Series - Europe and CS:GO Champions League Season 1.In November 2015, he joined G2 Esports, finishing 3rd-4th at Intel Extreme Masters X - San Jose and 5th-6th at StarLadder i-League StarSeries XIV. After that, he moved to FaZe Clan, where he remained until January 2017, earning placements at ELEAGUE Season 2, IEM Oakland 2016, ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017, DreamHack Masters Las Vegas 2017, and ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals.In February 2017, aizy joined North and won several prestigious titles: silver at ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals and DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017, gold at DreamHack Open Montreal 2017, DreamHack Open Tours 2018, DreamHack Open Valencia 2018, DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018, GG.Bet Ice Challenge 2019, and DreamHack Open Sevilla 2019. He also earned high placements at events like PGL Major Kraków 2017 (5th-8th), ELEAGUE Premier 2017 (3rd-4th), and both Season 6 and Season 7 Finals of ECS.After his long run with North, aizy left the team in November 2020 and took a break. He returned in April 2021 with HYENAS, securing silver at Funspark ULTI 2021: European Playoffs #1. He then had short stints with South, TITANS, and NtK, but success returned in May 2023 with Sashi Esport. With them, he won United21 Season 8 and Dust2.dk Ligaen Season 24, and placed 5th-8th at Y-Games PRO Series 2023 and 3rd-4th at Dust2.dk Ligaen Season 23.In December 2023, his time with Sashi ended. In January 2024, he joined Team Walkover to compete in the European Open Qualifier for PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 but placed only 17th-32nd. As a result, he announced his retirement in February 2024.Afterward, aizy worked as an analyst for CS tournaments until May 2025. He then took over as head coach of the Danish team Preasy, a position he continues to hold today.
