Vitality lifted the ESL Pro League Season 24 trophy after beating MOUZ 3-0 at Katowice’s Spodek Arena on October 11. ZywOo earned his 34th career MVP award, and Aurora took third place with a win over Spirit. Catch up on the key rounds, top performances, and prize money from the final day.
Both finalists arrived unbeaten in series. MOUZ had survived a tense semifinal against Spirit, with coach sycrone praising xertioN’s composure. Vitality gave them little breathing room in the best-of-five, winning Cache 13-8, Inferno 13-7, and Dust2 16-12.
Vitality recovered from a slow start on Cache, then controlled Inferno to build a 2-0 series lead.
ZywOo powered the Cache comeback with 21 frags and a 2.00 rating, helping Vitality secure their pick despite losing both pistols. The Inferno victory ended MOUZ’s six-map winning streak on the map and left them one loss from defeat.
Vitality reached halftime 7-5 ahead again, helped by repeated attacks on B. xertioN’s multi-frags then pushed MOUZ to a 12-9 lead and three chances to force Mirage.
None converted. flameZ’s MP9 hold at Long and mezii’s B defense kept Vitality alive, before ropz and flameZ helped force overtime. Vitality won all four extra rounds to complete the sweep.
“There was no chance we lose this,” flameZ said afterward.
ZywOo led the final with a 64-33 K-D, 90.3 ADR, and a 1.65 rating. flameZ and ropz backed him up with ratings of 1.30 and 1.22.
His sixth MVP of 2026 brought his record career total to 34. He averaged a tournament-best 1.43 rating and led Vitality in every playoff series:
Cache was his strongest map, with a 2.03 average across three appearances. “It’s such an amazing map,” ZywOo said, explaining that it had been one of his favorites since 2017.
Aurora secured third place with a 2-0 win over Spirit. Wicadia set the pace immediately, opening the series with a Dual Berettas ace.
Wicadia finished with a 41-25 K-D, 98.6 ADR, and a series-best 1.53 rating. Jimpphat provided strong support with a 1.40 rating across the two maps.
Aurora moved to ninth in the live Valve Regional Standings, improving their position for a Singapore Major Stage 3 invitation. The reported 98.8% qualification projection remained a forecast, not a confirmed berth.
“It’s always good to have at least something from the event,” woxic said. He admitted that returning after the semifinal defeat was mentally difficult, making the confidence and ranking points especially valuable.
ESL’s $1 million total comprised $300,000 in player prizes and $700,000 in club rewards. All figures below are per team.
Vitality’s combined payout reached $295,000, compared with MOUZ’s $175,000. Aurora earned $120,000 across both categories.
The win followed September’s StarSeries Fall title, sending apEX into his upcoming break with another trophy. He will miss PGL Masters Bucharest for the birth of his child, with jL standing in.
“I could win another trophy at least,” apEX joked after thanking his partner and their expected baby. He also paid tribute to maleK and offered condolences to his family.
ZywOo said mezii could take over calling duties, while the other players would need to communicate more and share responsibility during their captain’s absence.
