Top CS2 Case Opening Sites

Go to Settings → Keyboard & Mouse → Use Microphone — make sure a valid key is assigned (default is “K”).
Enable push-to-talk instead of voice activation.
Check your input device in Settings → Audio — select the correct microphone (headset or external card).
Open Windows “Sound Settings” and see if the input bar responds when you speak.
Make sure your mic isn't muted physically or on your sound card.
Open the CS2 console and type:
voice_enable 1
This re-enables voice chat in-game.
Reconnect your mic or headset.
Try a different USB port or audio interface.
Reinstall CS2 to reset your CS2 config.
As a last resort, test the mic on another device or reinstall Windows.
Steam no longer has its own microphone settings. Everything is handled via Windows, so the issue is either with your device or system.
Pro tip: Bind the mic to a convenient button (like a side mouse key) to communicate faster during rounds.
