Strategies for Counter-Terrorists (CT)
In line with the game's rules, the counter-terrorist team focuses on defense, preventing the enemy from taking control of critical areas or planting the bomb at either site.
Defending Bombsite A
Counter-Strike experts recommend stationing two players at Site A, one positioned for quick rotations to B or mid. Ideal positions are in main or near the fountain.
Attacks on Site A often occur when:
- The opponent is executing a strategic play.
- It's an eco or forced round.
- They fail to take control of Site B.
To defend effectively:
- Place one anchor behind the column.
- Assign the second defender to hold main.
If attackers push quickly through the bridge-mid-helper path, reinforcements from Site B can support via main or beneath the bridge. Accurate communication is critical.
Team setup:
- One defender anchors behind the column at Site A.
- Another patrols mid, main, or reacts to sound cues.
- A third provides support in mid or fully contests it.
- Two defenders cover Site B, focusing on default backside or long angles.
Flashbangs and smokes are essential for slowing the attack. If resources allow, Molotovs can further hinder the enemy’s advance.
Defending Bombsite B
Defending Site B is challenging due to its vulnerability; attackers can breach from two directions. The recommended strategy involves securing the ruins area and relying on coordinated teamwork. If the site falls to attackers, retake it from the connector or ruins.
