In CS2, many players face the problem of so-called mouse acceleration. This feature can interfere with accurate shooting, especially when using the AWP in CS2 or aiming with CS2 pistols. Acceleration changes the crosshair speed depending on how fast you move the mouse, making it difficult to control your sensitivity and perform predictable movements.
Launch the game and open the settings.
Go to the “Keyboard & Mouse” section.
Find the “Enable Mouse Acceleration” option and turn it off.
Additionally, check your CS2 config by typing these commands in the console:
m_rawinput 1 m_mouseaccel1 0 m_mouseaccel2 0 m_customaccel 0
This will completely remove acceleration and ensure consistent control.
By disabling mouse acceleration, you’ll achieve stable control of your CS2 crosshair, which is especially important for gun rounds, throwing flashes, smokes, and for precise sprays. The right sensitivity settings and lack of acceleration will help you adapt to the current CS2 meta and perform more confidently.
