What everyone can hear
- Gunfire, explosions, knife hits on walls (audible from far away).
- Reloading, switching fire mode on FAMAS and Glock-18.
- Scoping with sniper rifles.
- Planting and defusing C4, picking up weapons or hostages.
- Running, climbing ladders, jumping and falling.
What stays silent for enemies
- Walking and crouching (even on ladders).
- Switching weapons, inspecting CS2 skins.
- Pulling the pin (the throw is heard, but they can’t tell which CS2 grenade it is).
- Voice lines and voice chat (only teammates hear them).
How to use this
- Fake plant/defuse: start and instantly stop to bait an enemy peek.
- Reload as bait: begin reloading, then quickly swap to your pistol.
- Smoke on site: the hiss can cover the defuse sound.
Sound in CS2 is a powerful tool for reading the game and deceiving opponents. Train your ears like your aim — it can win you more rounds than pure accuracy.
