We continue optimizing your autoexec.cfg
in CS2. In this section, we’ll go over commands and CS2 config tweaks that impact shooting precision, radar performance, and CS2 skin appearance in first-person view.
rate 128000 cl_cmdrate 128 cl_updaterate 128 cl_interp 0 cl_interp_ratio 1 fps_max 999
These settings ensure smooth data exchange with 128-tick servers. You can adjust fps_max
depending on your PC — typically between 240 and 999.
Now, let’s configure the radar. To see the whole map and track enemy movements more efficiently, reduce the radar scale. In-game, go to Settings → Game → Radar and set:
cl_radar_always_centered 0 cl_radar_scale 0.3 cl_radar_icon_scale_min 0.6 cl_hud_radar_scale 1.15
This allows you to view more of the map and react faster during matches.
Next up: the viewmodel — how your hands and weapons are displayed. These settings improve visibility and gameplay comfort:
viewmodel_fov 65 viewmodel_offset_x 2 viewmodel_offset_y 2 viewmodel_offset_z -2 viewmodel_presetpos 3
viewmodel_fov
adjusts weapon zoom
offset_x/y/z
control positioning on screen
viewmodel_presetpos
offers predefined layouts (1 = default, 2 = wide view, 3 = classic CS 1.6 style)
These changes clean up the interface, expand your view, and enhance the experience — especially when aiming with CS2 crosshairs. At this point, your autoexec.cfg
is far more balanced.
