CS2: How to set up stretched 4:3

CS2: How to set up stretched 4:3

It’s no coincidence that even top players like ropz and ZywOo play this way — they care more about frags than pretty scenery.

Why a stretched screen helps

Enemies appear thicker, so it’s easier to land headshots, especially during quick strafes.

Your mouse moves faster horizontally, making flicks snappier.

No black bars — the whole screen is covered by the game, which is easier on the eyes and less distracting.

How to quickly set it up

  • In-game
Go to CS2 settings, pick 4:3, set resolution to 1024x768, and choose “Full Screen”.
  • Via Intel Graphics
Right-click the desktop, open Intel Graphics Settings, go to Display, set the same resolution, and select Scale Full Screen.
  • For NVIDIA
Open NVIDIA Control Panel → Adjust desktop size and position, select Full-screen, and apply.
  • For AMD
Open Radeon Settings, go to Display, enable GPU Scaling, and pick Full Panel mode.

Want just a wide view?

Stick with 16:9 for a wider FOV without stretching. But enemies will look slimmer and be harder to hit. Great for casual fun, less so for sweaty matches.

Bottom line

Want to shoot like CS2 pros from FaZe or Vitality? Set up scaling and see if your aim levels up.
