M80 Roster History

M80 are still a young organisation in the Counter-Strike scene, so not many players have come through the team yet. Even so, the lineup has already gone through a few important rebuilds. The first roster with Marcus “maNkz” Kjeldsen, Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa, Adam “WolfY” Andersson, Ethan “reck” Serrano, and Michael “Swisher” Schmid quickly established M80 on the North American scene, while later changes helped the squad adjust step by step to a higher level of competition. At the same time, the core around Swisher and reck remained the main reason for the team’s stability for a long stretch, and M80 slowly grew from an ambitious newcomer into a recognisable name at international tournaments.

Achievements of the First Roster

M80’s first Counter-Strike roster was assembled on July 15, 2023. It featured Marcus Kjeldsen "maNkz", Mario Samayoa "malbsMd", Adam Andersson "WolfY", Ethan Serrano "reck", and Mike Schmid “Swisher”, with Rory Jackson “dephh” as coach. This was the lineup that laid the foundation for the organisation’s later success: the team quickly found its footing on the North American scene, qualified for ESL Pro League Season 18, finished 2nd at Thunderpick World Championship 2023: North American Series #1, and posted its biggest result with a win at ESL Challenger League Season 46: North America.

2024–2025 Roster

After the first roster moves, M80 built a refreshed core around Swisher. With Fritz Dietrich "slaxz-", Elias Stein "s1n", and Mason Sanderson "Lake" joining the team, the squad became more consistent over the long run and started making bigger tournaments more often. This period brought M80 titles in ESL Challenger League Season 47 and Season 48 for North America, as well as the best international result in the history of the CS division — a 5th–8th place finish at ESL Pro League Season 20.

In 2025, the roster changed again: reck made way for HexT, and at the end of the year the club signed Josh Barutt "JBa". With this version of the lineup, M80 won DreamHack Knockout Atlanta 2025, took fl0m Mythical LAN Las Vegas 2026, and stayed among the more notable teams on the North American scene.
