Yuri Santos began his professional Counter-Strike career in 2016 under the nickname “yuurih.” Early in his journey, he played for various mixed teams but did not achieve any notable victories. His first success came in 2017, when, as part of Keyd Stars, he secured a gold medal at the Gamers Club Liga Profissional: June 2017. Later, while playing for INTZ eSports, he reached the finals of the World Cyber Arena 2017 - South America Finals.
From June 2016, Yuri Santos played for Operation Kino, with whom he won gold at the ESL Brasil Premier League Season 4 - Relegation Qualifier #2 and achieved 1st-2nd place at the ESL Brasil Premier League Season 4 - Relegation. Following this, he returned to Keyd Stars and INTZ eSports, but these stints did not yield much success. However, this did not stop Yuri from joining FURIA, where he won silver at the Esports Championship Series Season 7, claimed gold at the EMF CS:GO World Invitational 2019 and the Arctic Invitational 2019, and finished 1st-3rd in tournaments like the StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 8 and the ESL Pro League Season 11: North America.
In these tournaments, Yuri was one of the standout players for his team, which earned him a long-term contract with FURIA, where he continues to compete to this day as a sniper. During his time with the team, Yuri “yuurih” Santos has achieved numerous victories across various tournaments. Among his most significant achievements are gold medals at the Intel Extreme Masters XV - New York Online: North America, Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Fall: North America, PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR, as well as 1st-2nd place finishes at the ESEA Season 31: Premier Division - North America and the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: American RMR with FURIA Esports.
