Richard “Xizt” Landström is one of the most prominent and well-known representatives of the professional Counter-Strike scene, representing Sweden. During his career in this discipline, he played over 900 matches and earned nearly $500,000 in prize money.

He began his professional esports career in September 2006, and until 2009 he played for several lesser-known teams without achieving significant success. In 2009, he won silver at DreamHack Skellefteå III as part of DeNati, and then won gold with Vinnarlaget at DreamHack Skellefteå IV. The following year proved to be more successful. Early on, Richard joined H2k Gaming, where he earned bronze at The Gathering 2010, silver at DreamHack Summer 2010, and gold at Svenska Mästerskapen 2010. After that, he moved to Oslo Lions, with whom he won gold at ASUS Open Summer 2010 and Inferno-Online League: Season 3 - Qualifier #1, silver at EPS Nordic Season III - Finals, and bronze at DreamHack Winter 2010.

In early 2011, Landström signed with Fnatic. This marked a new chapter in his career, as he won several major S-tier tournaments, including IEM V European Championship Finals, IEM VI Global Challenge Guangzhou, MSI Beat IT! at DreamHack Winter 2011, as well as gold medals at Copenhagen Games 2012: 1.6, ESPORTSM 2011/2012, DreamHack Summer 2012, and GameGune 2012.

Afterward, he joined Ninjas in Pyjamas, where he played from August 2012 to February 2018. During this impressive period, Richard “Xizt” Landström greatly expanded his trophy collection. Key achievements include victories at DreamHack Winter 2012, Copenhagen Games 2013, ESEA Global Finals Season 13, ESPORTSM 2012/2013, ESEA Global Finals Season 14, Svecup 2013 Grand Finals, Copenhagen Games 2014, ESL One: Cologne 2014, DreamHack Masters Malmö 2016, StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2, Intel Extreme Masters XI - Oakland, DreamHack Open Valencia 2017, Intel Extreme Masters XII - Oakland, as well as silver medals at DreamHack Winter 2013, ESL Major Series One Katowice 2014, DreamHack Winter 2014, and ESL One: Katowice 2015.

Between April and May 2018, Richard played for FaZe Clan, winning gold at Intel Extreme Masters XIII - Sydney and placing 3rd-4th at ESL Pro League Season 7 - Finals. In June 2018, he returned to Fnatic and helped the team win many more titles, including gold at the PGL Grand Slam 2018 and silver medals at StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 7 and Intel Extreme Masters XIV - Sydney.

In February 2020, Richard “Xizt” Landström joined Dignitas but was unable to fully show his potential. Consequently, he decided to retire from professional play. However, in October 2021, he returned to the Counter-Strike pro scene as a head coach. Since then, the former player has successfully worked with HEROIC (3rd-4th place at PGL Major Stockholm 2021 and Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Katowice, plus gold at PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR A, Pinnacle Cup Championship, and BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2023). In March 2024, Richard took over as head coach of Ninjas in Pyjamas, where he still works. With the team, he has already won runner-up titles at YaLLa Compass 2024 and Svenska Cupen 2024, gold at Fragadelphia x LVL UP EXPO 2025, and achieved 5th-8th place at PGL Astana 2025.
