Georgi “WorldEdit” Yaskin is a professional esports player from Russia who spent nearly 12 years on the Counter-Strike pro scene. During this period, he repeatedly participated in various tournaments, including major events. In many of them, he performed well and secured prize-winning places, which brought him not only worldwide recognition but also a decent profit totaling over $115,000.
Georgi began his pro career in October 2012 with the team dAT Team. He played there for a couple of months but did not achieve significant success. The same pattern repeated during his time with SwedishHouseMafia, Fbgaming, Nostalgie, Begrip Gaming, ELTZ!, KerchNET, and Courage Gaming. His first notable achievement came with the team Hashtag, with which he won gold at the Voronezh Cup 2014.
After that, he returned to dAT Team. The second stint proved more successful: together with the lineup, Yaskin won gold at MCS Open Season 1 Finals and took 3-4 and 13-16 places, both prize-winning, at FACEIT G2A.com I Europe and ESL One: Cologne 2014 respectively.
In January 2015, Georgi moved to FlipSid3 Tactics. With them, he became champion at CIS Championship Voronezh, GameAgents League #2, ESEA Season 20: Premier Division - Europe, DreamHack Open Leipzig 2017, won silver at Acer Predator Masters Season 2, Adrenaline Cyber League 2016, WESG 2016 European Finals, ESEA Season 25: Global Challenge, and earned prize places at several other tournaments. Additionally, during his time with FlipSid3 Tactics, Georgi was repeatedly called up to the Russian national team. With the national squad, he won gold at WESG 2018 Russia and bronze at World Electronic Sports Games 2017.
From October 2018 to May 2019, he was part of Winstrike Team, where he became runner-up at LOOT.BET/CS Season 1. After that, he joined pro100, winning several more awards, including gold at DreamHack Delhi Invitational 2019 and Qi Banja Luka 2019, as well as silver at CIS Esports Pro Championship. Later, he played for QtabENTER but didn’t achieve notable success with that roster.
In May 2022, Georgi “WorldEdit” Yaskin joined PiTER. He didn’t achieve major victories there either and finished 5-8 at ESEA Season 42: Open Division - Europe. Later, he moved to Clownfiesta but again without notable success. For this reason, Yaskin decided to pause his playing career.
Currently, Georgi is no longer a professional player but continues to be involved in esports. He is now trying himself as a commentator for various Counter-Strike 2 tournaments and is known among fans as "Goga."
