Declan “Vexite” Portelli is one of Australia’s representatives in Counter-Strike 2. The esports athlete has been competing on the professional stage for more than 7 years, achieving solid results along the way. He has participated in numerous tournaments, including major events, often securing prize finishes. Altogether, these achievements have earned him around $50,000 in winnings.

Declan began his professional career in February 2018. From then until the spring of 2019, he played for several lesser-known mixes but struggled to make a breakthrough. His first notable success came after joining Paradox Esports, where he earned a silver medal at the Australian Esports Federation Season 2. However, another difficult period followed, as he joined several teams without winning titles. The winning momentum returned in April 2020 when, with VERTEX Esports Club, he secured silver at LPL Pro League 2020 Season 1.

After that, the Australian player signed with Chiefs Esports Club, where he continued to collect achievements. With this team, he won bronze at DreamHack Open Summer 2020: Oceanic Qualifier and Perfect World Oceania League Fall 2020, silver at LPL Pro League 2020 Season 3, as well as 4th place finishes at DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: Oceania, ESL Pro League Season 12: Oceania, and DreamHack Masters Winter 2020: Oceania.

In April 2021, Vexite decided to make a change, joining ORDER. He remained with the roster until the end of the year, helping them secure several titles, including gold at ESEA Season 36: Premier Division – Australia and ESL ANZ Champs Season 12, silver at EPIC Oceania League Spring 2021, ESEA Season 38: Premier Division – Australia, ESL ANZ Champs Season 13, and ESEA Season 39: Premier Division – Australia, along with bronze at DreamHack Open September 2021: Oceania and Intel Extreme Masters XVI – Fall: Oceania.

Following this success, in February 2022 he renewed his contract with ORDER, adding more achievements: victory at The Insanely Awesome CS:GO Tournament, bronze at ESL ANZ Champs Season 14, and a 7-8th place finish at ESL Challenger #48. However, by April he decided to leave the team. Until August, he played with several squads but without notable wins. Despite that, Grayhound Gaming invited him, and there he rediscovered success.

With Grayhound, he secured titles such as ESL ANZ Champs Season 15, Season 16, Season 17, and OneQode Frontier, along with bronze at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2023. He also placed at international tournaments, including 20-22nd at Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022, 21-24th at IEM Katowice 2023, 21-28th at ESL Pro League Season 17, 17-19th at BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, 13-16th at IEM Dallas 2023, 21-28th at ESL Pro League Season 18, and 13-16th at IEM Sydney 2023.

In April 2024, Declan joined FlyQuest, where he continues to play today. With the team, he has already secured more than 15 titles. Highlights include gold at ESL Challenger League Season 47: Oceania, ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2024, and ESL Challenger League Season 48: Oceania, bronze at Asian Champions League 2025, as well as high placements at major tournaments such as IEM Chengdu 2024, ESL Pro League Seasons 19–21, IEM Dallas 2024, Esports World Cup 2024, Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, IEM Melbourne 2025, BLAST Rivals Spring 2025, BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, IEM Cologne 2025, and BLAST Open Fall 2025: Closed Qualifier.
