Maksim “sowalio” Beketov is a Russian esports player who, despite his relatively young age, already boasts significant experience in the Counter-Strike 2 scene. He has been competing for about four years, participating in nearly 80 tournaments and playing around 150 matches, which has brought him approximately $8,000 in prize money.

His professional career began in August 2021 with the team MAMONTY, where he placed 1st–4th in the open qualifiers for NumberOne Season 2: Legend Stage 3. After that, he left the team and, between October 2021 and May 2022, played for several squads — Revolt, DaiteHLTV, Free TON Team, SnusEaters, and Gothboiclique — though without much success. He found a more stable home only in July 2022 with Flowstate, but failed to achieve notable results there as well.

In January 2023, he briefly played for Minas Tirith, before joining AVT Gaming in March. With this lineup, he finally tasted his first victories, winning the SCL Season 9: Masters Division and securing silver at ESEA Cash Cup: Europe - Spring 2023 #4.

His performance earned him an offer from VP.Prodigy, where he signed in July 2023. There, he added more to his resume — bronze medals at FASTCUP Premium Cup: July 2023 and Roobet Arena August 2023: Europe, and silver at Nova Nation League: CIS vs EU Cup #1 and ESEA Season 46: Open Division - Europe.

From October 2023 to January 2024, sowalio again had no permanent team, briefly playing for Wasteland, ESCAPIST, and PIXEL without much success. However, his strong individual play caught the attention of RUBY, who signed him in early February 2024. With them, he claimed the biggest wins of his career so far — gold medals at Regional Clash Arena CIS, Exort Series #2, Myskill New Year Cup, and ESEA Season 52: Advanced Division - Europe; silver medals at CSGORUN New Year's Season Cup #5 and Exort Series #9; and bronze medals at ESEA Season 49: Advanced Division - Europe and Myskill Pro League Season 1. He also placed in other events, including 4th at ESEA Season 48: Advanced Division - Europe and 5th–8th at both CCT Season 2 European Series #2 and CCT Season 3 European Series #1.

In June 2025, Maksim “sowalio” Beketov left RUBY and signed with Nemiga Gaming in July. So far, he has only played one event with the new team — the European qualifier for ESL Pro League Season 22, where they finished in 3rd place.
