Filip “NEO” Kubski is a Polish esports player known for his contributions to the professional Counter-Strike scene. He is one of the most experienced competitors in the discipline, having played over 1,000 matches and earned around $600,000 in prize money.
His professional career began on July 13, 2003. Early on, he played unsuccessfully with several mix teams before joining Team Pentagram, where he achieved his first major results. Notable accomplishments with this team include gold medals at SSV Lehnitz LAN, Invex Euro Cyber Cup, Samsung Euro Championship 2005, WSVG 2006: London, World Cyber Games 2006, Intel Extreme Masters I, ESWC 2007, and Heyah Logitech Cybersport 2007 Pro Finals.
In February 2008, Filip joined Meet Your Makers and quickly won silver at the Samsung Euro Championship 2008. He followed that up with gold at The Gathering 2008, DreamHack Summer 2008, and ESWC 2008, along with silver medals at IEM III Global Challenge Dubai and Intel Extreme Masters III.
From May to July 2009, Kubski played for Wicked eSports, where he won bronze at KODE5 2009, silver at GameGune 2009, and gold at DTS-Cup 2009.
Between September 2009 and February 2010, he played for a number of mix teams before moving to Frag eXecutors, where he won several awards. His major titles included gold medals at WEG e-Stars 2010, Copenhagen Games 2011, WEG e-Stars 2011, and Samsung Euro Championship 2011. He then joined ESC Gaming and led the team to victory at Intel Extreme Masters VI.
Filip’s consistent performance earned him a place on Virtus.pro in February 2014, where he remained until December 2018. During this time, he won titles at ESL Major Series One Katowice 2014, ESEA Season 18: Global Invite Division, CEVO Season 7 and 8 Professional, ESL ESEA Pro League Invitational, StarLadder i-League Invitational #1, ELEAGUE Season 1, DreamHack Open Bucharest 2016, DreamHack Masters Las Vegas 2017, and Adrenaline Cyber League 2017. He also secured silver medals at ESL One: New York 2016, EPICENTER 2016, ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017, EPICENTER 2017, and StarLadder i-League Invitational #2, and earned bronze at the World Electronic Sports Games 2016.
Following these achievements, he joined FaZe Clan and became runner-up at the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019. He later joined ARCY, where he continued to perform well. From May 2020 to September 2022, NEO played for HONORIS. While he didn’t earn major titles with the team, he did win a few accolades, including gold at ESEA Cash Cup: Europe - Spring 2021 #2 and ESL Mistrzostwa Polski: Spring 2021, silver at Puchar Narodowej Drużyny Esportu and ESL Mistrzostwa Polski: Autumn 2021, and bronze at ESEA Season 38: Advanced Division - Europe and Kinguin Legends #1.
At the end of 2022, Filip “NEO” Kubski announced his retirement from professional play. However, in August 2023, he made a comeback as head coach of FaZe Clan, a team he continues to lead. Under his leadership, FaZe Clan won several titles, including Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023, CS Asia Championships 2023, and Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2024, as well as silver medals at BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023, BLAST Premier: World Final 2023, Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2024, PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, and Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, along with a bronze at PGL Bucharest 2025.
