Linus “LNZ” Holtäng is a 22-year-old esports athlete representing Sweden in the Counter-Strike 2 professional scene.
Over more than 7 years of his career, he has competed in numerous tournaments and repeatedly claimed victories. His total prize money is now approaching $90,000.
Linus began his professional career in April 2018, joining the team Blablala, though without any notable success. He later played for several lesser-known teams and earned his first reward with Engrave — silver at the GANK-Zone 2018 Finals.
Between November 2018 and April 2020, Linus frequently changed teams. Still, he found some success: winning DreamHack Winter 2018 Junior with Team Viral, claiming gold at Gymnasieligan 2019 Spring with LBS E-Sport, taking 3rd-4th place at ESL Premiership - Winter 2019 with Wind and Rain, and winning League of Schools 2019 with LBS Göteborg.
In May 2020, he joined nerdRage and helped them secure 4th place and a bronze at ESL Premiership Spring 2020 and CS:GO Fight Night respectively. However, he didn’t stay long and rejoined LBS Göteborg in June, winning gold at Gymnasieligan 2020 Spring. Afterward, he played for several more teams with varying results.
A permanent home came in February 2021 when Linus joined Young Ninjas. There, he earned his first major accolades, including gold at Elisa Nordic Championship 2021 - Sweden and Atlantic Esportal Invitational, silver at Svenska Elitserien Spring 2021, and bronze at BLAST Rising 2021. His consistent play earned him a call-up to the main team.
With Ninjas in Pyjamas, Linus expanded his list of achievements. Notable results include wins at Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Fall: Europe and BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021, silver at Svenska Elitserien Spring 2022 and 2023, and 4th place at BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2021. Additionally, the team placed 9-12th at IEM Cologne 2021, 5-8th at ESL Pro League S14 and PGL Major Stockholm 2021, and 3-4th at CCT S1 West Europe #4.
In July 2023, he joined Sangal Esports and played there until November 2024. With them, he won gold at RES European Series #4, ESL Challenger League S47 and S48: Europe, CCT S2 European Series #6 and #7, placed 3-4th at RES Regional Champions, and took 17-20th at ESL Pro League S20.
In January 2025, Linus “LNZ” Holtäng signed with HEROIC, where he still plays. His recent achievements include victories at CCT S2 Global Finals and MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2025, as well as 5-8th at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025, 7-8th at IEM Dallas 2025, and 17-19th at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
