Johnny “JT” Theodosiou is one of the few professional Counter-Strike 2 players from South Africa competing on the international stage. With more than 10 years on the pro scene, he has built an impressive career, earning over $200,000 in prize money through consistent performances across various tournaments.
His career began in autumn 2015 with FlipSid3 Tactics.za, where he placed 5-8th at Telkom DGL Masters - Cape Town and collected his first earnings. In July 2016, he signed with CarboN eSports, achieving further success, including silver at Telkom DGL Masters 2016 Final and bronze at Evetech Champions League - Season 1.
In March 2017, JT joined Bravado Gaming, where he won his first major titles. With the team, he lifted trophies at Mega8 - Autumn Cup, ESEA Season 24: Open Division - South Africa, MettleState Samsung Galaxy Championship - Finals, Telkom DGL Masters 2017 Season 1 - Masters Cup, ESL African Championship - Season 1, WESG 2017 Southern Africa, ESEA Season 28: Premier Division - North America, FACEIT Pro League - North America: September 2018 Week 3, WESG 2018 South Africa and DreamHack Mumbai Invitational 2018. He also earned silver medals at events such as ESL African Championship - Season 2 and DreamHack Open Winter 2018, and competed at WESG 2017 (13-16th place).
In January 2019, he joined Denial Esports, but the stint brought little success. By April, JT moved to ATK, where after a short adaptation he contributed to strong results, including bronze at WINNERS League - Season 2: North America Invite Division, gold at WESG 2019 North America: United States, and 7-8th place at ESL Pro League Season 10 - Finals and ESEA Season 31: Global Challenge.
In early 2020, JT transferred to Cloud9. His highlights included 4th place at Flashpoint Season 1 and DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: North America, bronze at ESL One: Road to Rio - North America, plus notable finishes at ESL Pro League Season 12, ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online, and DreamHack Open Summer 2020.
After leaving Cloud9, he briefly played for smaller teams before joining Extra Salt in early 2021. With them, he won several titles, including DreamHack Open March 2021: North America, DreamHack Open June 2021: North America, and ESEA Season 39: Premier Division - North America, as well as multiple ESEA Cash Cups. He also earned silver at Funspark ULTI 2020, DreamHack Open September 2021: North America, and iBUYPOWER Mythic Masters Winter 2021.
In January 2022, JT signed with Complexity, where he spent nearly three years until December 2024. During this period, he celebrated victories at events like Thunderpick World Championship 2023: North American Series #2, BLAST Premier: Fall American Showdown 2023, and ESL Challenger at DreamHack Summer 2024. He also made deep runs at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2023, ESL Pro League, PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, and Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, among many others.
At the start of 2025, JT extended his contract with Complexity, adding more achievements such as 12-14th place at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, 4th at PGL Bucharest 2025, 5-8th at FISSURE Playground #1, and a 1-2nd place finish at YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025: Closed Qualifier.
In August 2025, he left Complexity and joined Ukrainian organization Passion UA, where he continues to compete. So far, with the team, he has played at DraculaN #1, finishing 7-8th.
