Joakim Myrbostad entered the world of esports in 2014. Early in his career, he represented ClutchIT.org and London Conspiracy before joining LGB eSports in the winter of that year. With his new team, jkaem achieved a top-12 finish at ESL One: Katowice 2015 and placed 5th-8th at DreamHack Open Summer 2015.
Joakim later joined G2 Esports, where he reached the semifinals at DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015. He also secured a 3rd-4th place finish at ELEAGUE Season 2 with FaZe Clan. In the following years, Myrbostad played for several other teams but did not achieve notable success during that period.
In 2023, jkaem joined Bleed eSports, where he competed until October 2024. During his time with the team, he won silver at Elisa Masters Espoo 2023 and reached the 3rd-4th position at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.
However, on October 11, 2024, Joakim and his teammates announced their departure from the organization due to delayed payments. From that point, the former Bleed eSports roster began competing under the "UNPAID" tag. Less than a month later, jkaem signed with BC.Game.
