John "JDC" de Castro is an experienced esports athlete who began his professional career in 2017. At the start, he played for BLUEJAYS, Team Monarchs, and PANTHERS Gaming, but didn’t achieve significant success with these teams. The only notable result was a 3rd-4th place finish at the ESL Clash of Nations 2017.

In January 2018, John returned to Monarchs and later rejoined PANTHERS Gaming. His second stint with the "Panthers" was more successful than the first, as de Castro earned bronze medals at 99Liga S9 Div. 1, became a finalist at 99Liga S10 Div. 1, and secured 3rd-4th place at ESL Meisterschaft: Winter 2018.

In early 2019, JDC signed with expert eSport, where he won several tournaments. Afterward, he had a short stint with Unicorns of Love, followed by a move to MOUZ NXT in the summer of 2021. With his new team, John won gold at WePlay Academy League Season 1: Online Stage, WePlay Academy League Seasons 1, 2, and 3, and achieved 1st-2nd place finishes at WePlay Academy League Season 2: Online Stage and Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Dallas: European Open Qualifier #1.

After two years with "Mice," de Castro joined 00 Nation in August 2023. He spent seven months with the team, winning just two tournaments: Pinnacle Cup V and European Pro League Season 11.

Since March 2024, John de Castro has been playing for BIG. With this roster, he achieved 3rd-4th place at Thunderpick World Championship 2024: European Series #1, silver at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2024 and DACH CS Masters Season 2, and a 1st-2nd place finish at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: European RMR B.
