Joshua “INS” Potter is one of the veterans of the professional Counter-Strike scene. The Australian player has been competing in the discipline for over 10 years. During this time, he has taken part in hundreds of tournaments of various levels, where he often showcased his skills and secured titles. Altogether, this not only helped him build a strong reputation but also earn more than $120,000 in prize money.
Potter made his first steps in competitive Counter-Strike in April 2015. From then until August 2016, he represented Sudden Fear, Team STORM, Corvidae, and Team ASDF, though he failed to achieve notable results. His first significant trophies came with Chiefs Esports Club, which he joined in late summer 2016 and remained with until January 2018. During that period, Joshua claimed gold medals at CyberGamer Pro League Season 10, CyberGamer Pro League Season 11, and World Cyber Arena 2017 - Asia-Pacific, took silver at ESL ANZ Championship - Season 2, ESEA Season 25: Premier Division - Australia, and WEGL 2017 Super Fight Invitational, and also reached prize placements at several other events.
Afterwards, Potter moved to ICON Esports, where he earned bronze medals at ESL Pro League Season 7 - Asia-Pacific, ESL ANZ Championship - Season 6, Asia Minor Championship - London 2018, and ESEA Season 28: Premier Division - Australia, as well as silver at LPL Alpha Invitational and ESEA Season 27: Premier Division - Australia. In September 2018, he signed with ORDER, where he went on to secure championships at ESEA Season 30: Premier Division - Australia and ESL AU & NZ Championship - Season 8, silver at WESG 2018 Oceania and ESEA Season 31: Premier Division - Australia, bronze at ESL Pro League Season 9 - Oceania, and a 13-16th place finish at ESL Pro League Season 8 - Finals.
In September 2019, Joshua joined Grayhound Gaming, where he continued to shine and added more titles to his name. The most notable were gold medals at OMEN Challenger Series 2019 and eXTREMESLAND 2019 - Oceania, along with a 7-8th place finish at DreamHack Masters Malmö 2019.
Later, he transferred to Renegades, where he remained until May 2022. With the team, Joshua expanded his list of achievements significantly. Together, they claimed victories at ESL One: Road to Rio - Oceania, DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: Oceania, DreamHack Open Summer 2020: Oceania, ESL ANZ Champs Season 11, ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online - Oceania, Perfect World Oceania League Fall 2020, ESL Pro League Season 12: Oceania, Intel Extreme Masters XV - Beijing Online: Oceania, DreamHack Masters Winter 2020: Oceania, and DreamHack Open September 2021: Oceania. They also earned silver at DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020 and reached strong finishes at ESL Pro League Season 13, Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Cologne, and Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Katowice.
Impressed by his performances, Grayhound Gaming brought Potter back in August 2022. He remained with the squad until February 2024, during which time he added further accolades: gold at ESL ANZ Champs Season 15, ESL ANZ Champs Season 16, and ESL ANZ Champs Season 17, bronze at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2023, and strong placements at Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022, ESL Pro League Season 17, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, and ESL Pro League Season 18.
In April 2024, Potter joined FlyQuest. Immediately after signing, he helped the team secure 7-8th place at Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2024 and continued to contribute significantly. Thanks in large part to him, the squad went on to win gold at ESL Challenger League Season 47: Oceania and ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2024, bronze at Asian Champions League 2025, and achieve solid finishes at other top events, including 9-12th at ESL Pro League Season 19, 17-19th at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, and 15-16th at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025.
Currently, Joshua “INS” Potter continues to play for FlyQuest as a consistent member of the main roster.
