Marcel “hyped” Köhn is a professional esports player from Germany competing in Counter-Strike 2. His career has spanned more than six years, during which he has played over 400 matches across various tournaments. In many of them, he managed to showcase solid performances and secure prize finishes, earning him more than $60,000 in winnings.

Marcel began his professional CS2 journey in April 2019 with Planetkey Dynamics, later joining MixeN. However, success didn’t come immediately. His first results arrived after signing with DIVIZON in July 2019. With this team, he earned his first titles, including gold at the SUMMACUM Invitational, bronze at German Esport League Season 1, and a 9th place finish at 99Liga Season 15: Division 1.

After that, he continued representing MixeN, occasionally joining other squads on loan. With one of them, Bubzkji, he secured gold medals at BIG Academy Hunt #2 events. In July 2021, hyped signed with Sissi State Punks, where he delivered his best performances and claimed several titles, including gold at UNITED Pro Series Summer 2021: Group Stage, 4th place at Y-Games PRO Series 2021, and top-6 finishes at ESL Meisterschaft: Autumn 2021, UNITED Pro Series Summer 2021, and 99Liga Season 18: Division 1.

Thanks to these achievements, in January 2022, Marcel “hyped” Köhn was invited to join BIG’s academy team, where he remained until February 2024. During that time, he significantly expanded his trophy cabinet. With BIG Academy, he won tournaments such as Y-Games PRO Series 2022, BIG Academy Hunt #18, ESL Meisterschaft: Autumn 2022, ESL Meisterschaft: Spring 2023, and ESEA Season 47: Advanced Division – Europe. He also finished runner-up at WePlay Academy League Seasons 3 and 4, Fragadelphia 17, BLAST Premier: Spring European Showdown 2023, CCT Season 1 West Europe Series #4, IESF World Esports Championship 2023, and ESL Meisterschaft: Autumn 2023, as well as bronze at WePlay Academy League Season 5, Elisa Invitational Winter 2023, and IceBonus Series #1.

Other notable finishes include 4th at ESL Meisterschaft Spring 2022, 17-20th at ESL Pro League Season 17, 5-8th at BetBoom Playlist. Urbanistic, 5-6th at Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2023, and 4th at CCT Season 1 Online Finals #1. Despite his successes, he was never promoted to BIG’s main roster, leading him to leave for ALTERNATE aTTaX.

With ALTERNATE aTTaX, where he played until December 2024, hyped showcased his best form. His contributions helped secure titles at DACH CS Masters Season 1 and CCT Season 2 European Series #9, bronze at RES European Series #3 and XP Game Fest 2024, and notable finishes at ESL Challenger League Season 47: Europe, Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024, and IESF World Esports Championship 2024.

In January 2025, hyped rejoined BIG, this time as a full member of the main roster, where he continues to compete today. In just eight months, he has already earned more than 10 titles. Among them are gold at DACH CS Masters Season 3, silver at YaLLa Compass Winter 2025 and MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2025, as well as placements such as 9-16th at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025: Closed Qualifier, 13-16th at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025, 9-11th at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, 13-16th at Intel Extreme Masters Melbourne 2025, 12-14th at PGL Astana 2025, 9-12th at FISSURE Playground #1, and 21-23rd at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2025.
