Adam “friberg” Friberg is an esports athlete who represented Sweden on the professional Counter-Strike scene. Throughout his career, he participated in hundreds of matches across various tournaments and managed to earn nearly 400 thousand dollars in prize money.
His first achievement came in 2009, when he began his career and won the ESEA Season 3: European Open Division - CS: Source tournament as part of the H2k Gaming team. After that, the player changed several teams and temporarily paused his career, not achieving significant success until the summer of 2012.
Despite this, in summer 2012 he was invited to join Ninjas in Pyjamas, for which Friberg played until June 2017. During this period, he won dozens of awards. The main highlights include gold medals at DreamHack Winter 2012, Copenhagen Games 2013, ESEA Global Finals Season 13, ESPORTSM 2012/2013, ESEA Global Finals Season 14, Svecup 2013 Grand Finals, Copenhagen Games 2014, ESL One: Cologne 2014, DreamHack Masters Malmö 2016, StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2, Intel Extreme Masters XI - Oakland, DreamHack Open Valencia 2017, alongside silver medals at DreamHack Winter 2013, ESL Major Series One Katowice 2014, DreamHack Winter 2014, and ESL One: Katowice 2015.
After these achievements, the player left the team and decided to take on a new challenge by joining OpTic Gaming. With this roster, he won bronze medals at the Europe Minor Championship - Boston 2018 and placed 5-6th at ESL Pro League Season 6 - Finals and Esports Championship Series Season 4 - Finals.
Adam was one of the best in the team, which attracted HEROIC’s attention. He signed with them in April 2018 and stayed until June 2019. During this time, he helped the team win numerous awards, including victories at Games Clash Masters 2018, TOYOTA Master CS:GO Bangkok 2018 Heroic, and GG.Bet Sydney Invitational, as well as 3-4th places at DreamHack Open Austin 2018, DreamHack Open Valencia 2018, DreamHack Open Winter 2018, and bronze at GG.Bet Ice Challenge 2019.
In November 2019, Adam played for GamerLegion at the European Champions Cup, helping the team to 5-6th place, then signed with Dignitas in February 2020. Although he couldn’t fully show his potential in the new team, he still earned some achievements: 5-8th place at Eden Arena: Malta Vibes - Week 6, 7-8th place at Flashpoint Season 2, silver at Funspark ULTI 2021: Europe Season 1 and ALL IN Series, and bronze at Funspark ULTI 2021: European Playoffs #2.
In September 2022, Adam “friberg” Friberg decided to leave the team. Until February 2024, he played for several other teams. With Team NEO, he won bronze at Kinguin Legends #1; with Team olofmeister, silver at SteelSeries CS2 Invitational; and bronze with Pak Boyz at BLAST The Draft Season 1.
Afterward, the player decided to retire from the professional scene, announcing this to his fans at the end of 2024.
