At the start, he represented several lesser-known teams without achieving significant results. His first real success came after joining Team Innova, where he earned bronze at Razer Rising Stars Season 1: South America, silver at Brazil Mega Cup 2016 - Rio de Janeiro, and took the championship title at Liga Profissional Gamers Club: May 2016.

Afterward, Marcelo played for 2Kill Gaming, TEAMMATE, Cyclone, and paiN Gaming, but didn’t gain much recognition. However, in August 2017, he joined Luminosity Gaming and made a name for himself. He helped the team win gold at the World Cyber Arena 2017 - North America Finals and placed 7-8th at both the ESL Pro League Season 6 - Finals and Esports Championship Series Season 4 - Finals, earning $40,000 and $35,000 respectively.

In April 2018, he joined Não Tem Como, placing 7-8th at ESL One: Belo Horizonte 2018.
