Dan 'apEX' Madesclaire is a professional esports player, competing under the nickname apEX. He entered the pro scene in 2009, starting in Counter-Strike: Source as part of the team VeryGames, which was one of the best at that time. In 2012, Dan transitioned to CS:GO, joining Anexis eSports. However, he didn't manage to make a notable impact there, nor did he in the next four teams he played for.
His first major success came in 2013 when he joined LDLC. With the team, he won DreamHack Valencia 2014 and finished 5-8th at ESL Major Series One Katowice 2014. After that, Madesclaire joined Titan eSports, where he won bronze medals at ESEA Season 18 - Global Invite Division.
In the summer of 2015, Dan signed with EnVyUs, and with them, he became a champion at DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015, Global eSports Cup - Season 1, and World Electronic Sports Games 2016. Later, he moved to G2 at the beginning of 2017 and won gold at ESL Pro League Season 5 and DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017.
In June 2018, apEX went inactive but wasn't out for long. By October, he joined Team Vitality. With them, the esports player achieved the most significant milestones in his career. He became the champion of numerous tournaments. His major victories include DreamHack Open Atlanta 2018: European Qualifier, ESL One: Cologne 2019 - European Qualifier, ESEA Season 31: Premier Division - Europe, ESEA Season 31: Premier Division - Europe Final, Intel Extreme Masters XV - Beijing Online: Europe, Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Winter, Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2023, BLAST Premier World Leaderboard 2023, Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024, and IEM Katowice 2025. Additionally, he finished 1st-2nd at the Europe Minor Championship - Katowice 2019: Open Qualifier #4, ESEA Season 31: Premier Division - Europe, and Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: European RMR A, while also winning silver medals at ESL One: Cologne 2019, BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Finals, BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022, Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2024, and BLAST Premier World Leaderboard 2024.
Currently, Dan 'apEX' Madesclaire continues to play for Team Vitality, where he is not only one of the key players but also serves as the team's captain.
