Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen is an accomplished Counter-Strike player who began his professional career in 2015. Initially, Aleksib participated in various mixes but struggled to make an impact, often delivering mediocre performances and failing to secure tournament wins. However, in April 2016, he received an invitation to join Findictus, where he and his new team achieved a silver medal at Vectorama 2016.
In August of the same year, Aleksib was invited to ENCE eSports, marking a turning point in his career as he secured his first trophy by winning the IeSF World Championship 2016. Following this victory, he also earned a silver medal at the Nordic Championship 2016.
At the end of 2016, Aleksib became a member of the ENCORE team, but his stay was short-lived. In April 2017, he joined HAVU Gaming, where he quickly made a name for himself by winning several tournaments, including NeSA 2017, Nordic Championship Season 1, ROG Masters 2017 - Nordic, and Finnish eSports League Season 3.
A year later, Virolainen returned to ENCE, leading the team to victories at StarSeries & i-League CS Season 6 and the BLAST Pro Series: Madrid 2019, as well as securing silver medals at the Intel Extreme Masters XIII - Katowice Major 2019.
In December 2020, he signed with OG, but after nearly two years, the team’s only notable achievement was a silver medal at the Flashpoint Season 2 tournament. This pattern continued during his tenure with G2, which lasted from February 2022 to March 2024, where he also managed only a silver medal at Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Katowice.
Despite these challenges, Aleksib's impressive performances caught the attention of Natus Vincere (NaVi). He joined the Ukrainian team in March 2024, taking on the role of sniper. Since joining NaVi, Virolainen has celebrated significant victories, including gold medals at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, Esports World Cup 2024, ESL Pro League Season 20, and Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024. Additionally, as part of NaVi, he earned a silver medal at the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024.
