David “dav1deus” Tapia Maldonado is a professional CS2 player from Chile. With over eight years on the competitive scene, he’s played in more than 450 matches and earned around $60,000 in prize money.

He began his esports career in April 2017 with Tauros Gaming, but after a failed qualifier for the Americas Minor Kraków 2017, he took a year-long break. In May 2018, he returned to competition with Pelafustanes and won his first title at CGL Alfa.

In July 2019, he joined Agressive Gaming, claiming 3–4th at Musimundo Gaming Week 2019 and gold at Aorus League 2019 - Southern Cone and Finals.

In early 2020, dav1deus moved to Rysix Gaming and later to Cream Esports Latam, where he won PEEK 40K Tournament III and earned other top placements in various Latin American events.

In 2021, he joined Paquetá Gaming, winning WESG 2021 Latin America: Brazil, Aorus League S1 & S2, and others — which led to a transfer to 9z Team in February 2022. With them, he placed 3–4th at ESL Challenger #48 and won KaBuM! Challenge, CCT S1 SA Series #5 and #8, among others.

In November 2023, he rejoined RED Canids, where he added several titles including Copa BetBoom 2023, EPL World Series S4 & S7, and CBCS events.

As of January 2025, dav1deus plays for paiN Gaming, where he has already achieved notable results like 5–8th at BLAST Bounty Spring and PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, and 12–14th at ESL Pro League S21 and PGL Astana 2025.
