Hugo “Brooxsy” Di Bono is a professional esports athlete competing in the discipline Counter‑Strike 2. He has been active on the competitive scene for approximately 4½ years. During that period he has played for several teams and participated in various tournaments, albeit without standout results; however, he has managed to accumulate roughly USD 5,000 in prize money.
His journey began in February 2021 when he joined the team GenOne, though initially he struggled to make his mark. His debut success came in April 2021 when he earned prize money by finishing 5–8th in the “ESEA Season 36: Intermediate Division – Europe”.
With the same roster he later won championship titles at “AFTI-LAN 21.1”, “EPSILAN 2021”, “AFTI-LAN 21.2” and “Gaming Gen Arena 2021”, and placed 4th at the “ESEA Season 39: Main Division – Europe”.
In March 2022 he moved to Team LDLC, where he quickly adapted and achieved gold at “La Coupe 2022 #1”, bronze at “ESL Championnat National Spring 2022”, and 5–6th at “NumberOne Season 3: Stage 1”. Later achievements with LDLC included runner-up at “La Coupe 2022 #2” and 3-4th at “ESL Championnat National: Autumn 2022” and “NumberOne Season 3: Stage 2”.
In January 2023 he was loaned to Mixfits, winning silver at “ESEA Cash Cup: Europe – Winter 2023 #1”, then he returned to Team LDLC but with limited success, managing only 5–8th at “CCT Season 1 West Europe Series #2”.
By June 2023 his cooperation with LDLC ended, and he played for several teams before returning to GenOne in March 2024. After his return, he significantly boosted his achievements: gold at “HEROIC x Thunderpick Path To The Pros: Open Qualifier #3” and “Urban Contenders #6”, silver at “Galaxy Battle #1” and “United21 Season 23”, and bronze at “Prodigy Series #1”, “Prodigy Series #3”, “HEROIC x Thunderpick Path To The Pros”, “United21 Season 22”, “Justice Cup vol. 3” and “European Pro League Season 28: Division 2”.
He also achieved other prize placements: 7–8th at “ESEA Season 51: Advanced Division – Europe”, 4th at “European Pro League Season 27”, “European Pro League Season 25: Division 2”, and “United21 Season 35”, and 13–16th at “CCT Season 2 European Series #16 Play-In”.
Currently Hugo “Brooxsy” Di Bono continues to represent GenOne as a stable starting player in the Counter-Strike 2 discipline.
