On June 3, the first CS2 Major of 2025 kicked off in Austin. Day 1 of Stage 1 brought plenty of surprises and standout moments.
Teams with a 2-0 record:
- HEROIC confidently defeated Chinggis Warriors (13:7) and NRG (13:5), showing consistency and great coordination.
- FlyQuest overcame Fluxo (13:7) and BetBoom (13:6), showcasing an aggressive playstyle and sharp aim.
- B8 edged out Imperial (13:11) and OG (13:9) in close matches, proving they are ready for top-tier competition.
- Wildcard crushed Metizport (13:1) and won a tight overtime game against Lynn Vision (19:17), displaying resilience and character. Notably, Sonic from Wildcard showed excellent aim and preparation on both maps.
Teams with a 0-2 record:
- Imperial fell to B8 (11:13) and Nemiga (9:13), finding themselves in a tough position.
- Metizport lost to Wildcard (1:13) and TYLOO (4:13), facing major difficulties in their play.
- Fluxo suffered defeats to FlyQuest (7:13) and Complexity (9:13), in urgent need of a tactical reset.
- Chinggis Warriors were beaten by HEROIC (7:13) and Legacy (10:13), revealing key weaknesses to address.

- OG started strong with a dominant win over Complexity (13:3), largely thanks to nicoodoz, who delivered one of his best performances with a 33-6 score and a 3.08 rating. However, they then lost to B8 (9:13), showing inconsistency.

- BetBoom beat Nemiga (13:7), but were then outplayed by FlyQuest (6:13), needing to improve their defense.
